Endometriosis Mild Treatment or not

Hi,

I have had a mild pain in my left side for more than a year now. At first my gyno thought it might be caused by ovarian cysts. We have been doing Trans Vag Ultrasounds now every 3 - 4 months for about a year. I have a small folicular cyst that shows up on my left ovary some of the times but there is another area that has shown up each time that is suspecious. He is not thinking cancer of the ovary because it isn't getting bigger and he did a CA125 which was in normal range. But he is now thinking maybe mild endometriosis - it could be endometriosis tissue on my ovary. He thinks it might be a good idea to investigate by laprascopy (sp?) and if indeed it is endo tissue he could remove it or if it is something else biopsy. He said I could keep doing ultrasounds and watching if I want but it has been over a year and the anxiety alone is getting to me. But does anyone think doing a laprascopy surgery is too drastic since my pain is pretty mild and not causing me much problem in daily life (it is always there but not horrible and I can live with it). Also if I don't remove the small amount of endo tissue (if it turns out to be endo) will it just get worse down the way causing me more problems and having me wish i did something earlier. Has anyone ever had mile endo and not done anything or should I go through with the laprascopy. I am worried about scar tissue after laprascopy or infection, anesthesia problems. Is the risk worth the test? I am so confused on my decision.
