Your doctor will most likely discuss his findings with you once you are awake after surgery and then you will follow up with him/her about a week or 2 after your surgery (they will use either the self disolving stitches or the ones that need to be removed @ which time that will be one at your follow up) Following the surgery dont try to rush back to every day activities, try to take it easy for at least 48 hrs after. After my first lap I was back to normal activity within a week. During the follow up your doctor will discuss the next steps whether that be Lupron, Depo, birth control if you do have Endo. Its a long process but the best advice i can give you is if you don't feel right with what he is telling you, do not be afraid to disagree or ask questions if you dont understand. I've learned the hard way that a lot of doctors especially at a young age tend to dismiss Endometriosis and/or pelvic pain and you really need to be your own healthcare advocate when it comes to being treated.
