Re: CT SCAN W/CONTRAST?

The only was to diagnose endo is with a laparoscopic excision and a biopsy of affected tissues. A CT or U/S can visualize cysts, adhesions and endometriomas, but it cannot give a clear diagnosis. Endo lesions can be very small and most will not show up on imaging tests. Personally, I have had endo since I was 13 (I am now 26) and all of my many U/S have come back clear except one last July which found an endometrioma in my abdominal wall, so a clear imaging test is completely inconclusive for diagnosing endo. Good luck! xox
