Re: Dr Kanayama - pain after?

I am glad you feel better. 1) Did he charge you the ''full price'' for
the 2nd surgery? 2) He is known for having people come back a lot of
times after surgery, of course charging every time (except the immediate
post-op appointment).
I had similar pains, because, as it turned out my colon was adhered to
my bowel, ovary etc etc. His surgeries are very bloody and leave you
open to a lot of adhesions.
He has a very ''fuzzy'' way of saying what seems like the right
things....
I had trouble walking for a long time after my surgery with him (because
of the adhesions) and could never recommend him. I am happy to hear
other women do well after surgery with him, but if women need to have
that many surgeries with him, he should offer a discount, change his
method of excision, tell women there may be a chance of needing another
surgery with him (or with someone else), or maybe figure out what he is
doing wrong...

>My pain felt like someone was stabbing me on my left side next to my bellybutton and the pain would shoot down my left leg. It was everyday for about 4-5hrs. Nothing would help the pain. I had my 1st surgery in august and he found the mass in early december. I had my 2nd surgery in february 2007 and ever since that day knock on wood I have not had the pain again. after my 1st surgery he knew I still was suffering and he said he would not stop until he found out why. i was going back every month.I am in the medical profession and there is no black and white there is alot of grey. He is a very good Dr.Endo is such a crazy and unpredictable disease. When you have stage III and stage IV endo you have a greater success rate with a second surgery. dont give up and he wont give up on you. Good luck. Michele
