Have you heard of the IC diet, or the endo diet? Changing some foods can help a LITTLE.

It's funny she thinks endo doesn't run in the family, when it clearly sounds like your mother and grandmother had it!!! What's more ''family'' than that?

Ratemds.com has doctors in your area that might be better than she is. Who diagnosed the IC? How did they do it? Did they recommend any meds? If you're not seeing a urologist, I think you should.

Do you take prescription meds for your pain? Someone should help you in that area. How about a prescription pain patch?

I use bio-id progesterone, which can help with some of the pain of endo, the migraines, and the symptoms of PCOS. The only thing that will really help, IMO, is excision surgery. These people are excellent: centerforendo.com in Atlanta - a two hour plane ride from Philly :)

PCOS can also be helped by diet. Insulin issues affect it. Some women are helped by taking metformin, some women by controlling their blood sugar. This is a great site:
