Re: troverted and bicornuate uterusFrom: anonymous (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed Jan 28 17:09:30 2009
I found a lot of google results with ''bicornuate uterus pregnancy.'' I thought it was SO rare, it seems quite a lot of women have it, and do get pregnant? Also, I found this http://www.epinions.com/kifm-review-4EAF-5035043-39E5FE05-prod2/show_~allcom '' Hi there! Ive been looking this up alot because I want to have a homebirth, and have been running into some problems with this. But I just wanted to share that my uterus is bicornuate, or heartshapped AND had a septum, or the wall dividing it in two. We did not know this until my csection at 40 weeks 1 day with TWINS. I had a twin on each side. They were 7 lbs 1 oz and 6 lbs 6 oz. BIG. AND Twin 1 was head down, NOT breech. My ob cut out the septum during my csection. So now it is just bicornuate. I had another baby only 12 months 2 weeks later, and carried him 39 weeks 5 days. He was head down too, and I was dialating perfectly. I just wanted to share that just becuase a book says that X will happen, doesnt mean X will happen. I carried TWINS late. They were BIG. They were VERTEX. I carried another VERY soon after. He was BIG (8 lbs 6 oz). He was VERTEX. and he was FULL TERM and would have went longer if he wasnt emergency csection (not related to bicornuate uterus, cord incident). Good luck to all reading this, and email me if you have any questions!! twinsmummy20@yahoo.com '' there are other stories out there
