Re: Random Biopsies??From: NWeber (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu Nov 27 12:51:47 2008
Hi Kelly and welcome to the forum! Your case sounds vary similar to mine. My doctor also told me that I had no endo left after my last surgery, and then I took my records to an endo specialist 6 months later- I have endo everywhere in my pelvis. It sounds like you are also seeing a doctor who does not know how to identify endo. It comes in so many forms and shapes, many doctors do not know what they are looking at. A doctor, should indeed take biopsies of tissue during laproscopy. I am not totally familiar on exactly how they decide which areas to biopsy, but they do need to do this to confirm diagnosis. If I were you, I would find an endo specialist ASAP and get your records to them. Don't start on the track with another doctor if he isn't going to be able to exercise the endo out. You do your body more harm than good having multiple surgeries with a doctor who can't remove it correctly. Hope this helps a little. Best of luck!
