HI, after I ve had surgery for endo (was grade 4)I went back to birth control, but I am soon gonna switch to the mirena coil. This was adviced to me by the specialist that operated on me in Belgium I works locally and so a lot less of hormones get directly into your bloodstream. They implant it for periods up to 5 years. It is important that the released dose is appropriate for the endo-condition.The only thing here is wether you still want children or not?because mostly they will not implant if there is still a child wish. You can google mirena IUD.
