how long do you just 'deal' with the pain before calling the doctor

My question is for anyone willing to answer. I am awaiting the results from my latest cat scan, i have already had four surgeries in a very short length of time and i am 100% certain the endo and adhesions are back in full force. I am living on pain killers like so many of us do but the pain is ridiculous, it hurts to sit, to stand, to try and go to the bathroom, to laugh, to cough, it hurts. Its constant with small periods of I can tolerate this for a few minutes. I know there is nothign my doctor can do for me but how bad do you let it get and for how long before you call your doctor who will just sigh and let you know to "hang in there" ? i mean how much pain can one person take before it drives you insane. I do not let it stop me in anyway, I mean I push myself no matter how bad it is to get up, to do everything that I can normally do but when it feels like someone has a pitchfork inside of you at all times it is beyond frustrating and the only postion that feels okay is fetal. So how long do you wait to call and is it really even worth it, does anyone have a doctor that knows how to give them better relief? Thank you for listening.
