I am so sorry for your pain. I have been going through it as you have
for years and years, having surgery after surgery. Honestly, you may
love your doctor but she may not be skilled enough to help your endo.
That's the reality I faced. My gyno did all of my laps and I love her.
She's amazing. But when it came down to it, she wasn't excising all of
my endo deep enough, most doctors don't exise is deep enough. Does your
doctor perfom excision? The difference between excision removal of endo
(cutting it out) and traditional cauterising (burning with laser) is the
excision goes deeper and removes the endo from more of its "root". I
was really hesistant to this whole thing, but I ended up seeing an endo
specialist who did excision on my endo and took out a whole bunch of
other things that could be contributing to my pain (adhesions, scar
tissue, appendix). It is worth looking into. There are some excision
specialists that accept insurance (the doctor I saw did, leaving me with
a very little bill for the surgery), some that do not, but if you think
about how much money you'll save in the long run, it's worth it. If you
have any questions please contact me. Be well :-)
