Usually people don't pay attention to the significance of colors. We
become impressed by a picture, but often ignore the mood of colors that
actually make it look impressive.
Different colors give different sensations. For example there is a
feeling of irritation associated with red color, warmness with orange,
mild warmness with yellow and neither warmness nor coolness with green.
With pink light one's anger gets reduced, muscles under its effect stay
relaxed. Even people who are blind, feel calmness in pink-lighted
rooms.
