First and foremost WHICH certification is the doctor lacking? Is he / she "Board certified by the American College of OB/GYN (ACOG) or "Certified by the Accreditation Council for Gynecologic Endoscopy?"

If this doctor isn't certified by the above, it is my personal opinion that I'd stay far away from the doctor. That would be like going to a plastic surgeon that isn't a "Board Certified Plastic Surgeon" and just a physician.

I don't mean to scare you, but please be very selective in choosing a doctor that will cut you.
