Re: First Lap Update - I think it was a success!

Hey Brandy, Welcome back! I was so glad to hear that your lap was a success and that your back pain seemed to have improved until I came across your other post. =( I'm sorry that your pain is returning. I'm thinking that maybe your pain was better after lap since it was "blown up" w/ all that gas (which is why it seemed that this was your biggest discomfort), so since your abdomen was not settled down yet, that maybe all that air was keeping your insides in a way "separated" & now that your abdomen is "deflating" more making everything "come together" & since your insides are still healing, that you are starting to experience more pain.I'm hoping this is the case & that when you heal more that the pain will improve again. Since you had some endometriosis removed & major work done w/ your ovary, the insides are still healing, inflammed, and "raw", which would cause more pain. I'm thinking that as time passes and your insides heal, that the pain will improve. It can be all the inflammation of your organs by being probed at that is causing all the pain while the air deflates out of your abdomen, which can also be causing the bladder symptoms. Hopefully this is the case w/ swelling around your bladder causing some sort of numbness and that your doctor didn't do anything w/ your nerves inside (sorry, I don't mean to scare you w/ this part).Have you tried taking motrin like 600-800mg along w/ your other pain meds? Maybe this will help since motrin works as a anti-inflammatory. My surgeon prescribed me this after Lap surgery to take along w/ my regular pain meds. Well, remember to look on the bright side, you got your lap over with, you are still healing, so until you are completely healed from your lap, you won't be for sure if your pain is back because maybe it's just the whole healing & deflating process causing pain. I really hope this is the case & that your pain is improved dramatically...I still had the same pain even right after my lap along w/ the raw feeling in my stomach and some cramping, so hearing that your back pain was improved after lap (at least for those few days) seems like a good sign...Remember though, really keep up w/ the miralax EVERYDAY.It won't work if you take it one day and stop, then another day & stop, etc... you will be amazed once it starts to work. It takes a few days, sometimes up to 7 days & it will soften your stool a lot and you will feel much better having all that toxins come out of you. I noticed that whenever I stop taking miralax, I become constipated again and there I am stuck using enemas or suppositories w/ little or no success. Miralax makes the bowel really soft so that there is much less pain w/ bowel movements. Remember that it is important to drink as much fluids as possible while taking it. My mom also said that she started drinking diet green tea (not "diet" flavor, but actual green tea for dieting) because she has constipation too (she drinks one cup a day), & she said she started having regular bowel movements w/o causing pain or diarrhea. Miralax won't cause pain either, it shouldn't. Anyways, I have to go for now and get ready to go have my MRI of the brain & spine (watch all my problems & pain wasn't caused by endo & it's MS or something else...jk)..I just want answers & this whole process seems to take forever doesn't it? Well, I really hope you feel better and will be back later. Get a lot of rest, take it easy, & the best comfort I got was by sitting up in a lounge chair (or if you have a recliner chair) or using a bunch of soft pillows on my back-neck-head while sitting on my bed. <3 *hugs* *Bren At Fri, 24 Oct 2008, Brandy wrote: >
