Not all people with Endo have pain just around their period. My sister does, but I have pain all of the time. If you do the lap make sure that they do a cystoscopy with hydrodistention. Your pain is near your bladder which could be IC, aka Interstitial Cystitis. The cysto and hydro will check for that. It has to be done under general anesthesia because it is so painful.

I had a lap on Aug. 20th, It took me three weeks to feel somewhat back to normal, and it was very painful for me. It was my fourth lap, my first was for an appendectomy, and the last 3 were for endo.
