Hi, Just wondering if you ever had your appendix checked or had any type of previous abdominal surgery? I mention this because I am in the same situation w/ u & w/ possible endometriosis. I just had surgery last Thurs 9/18/08 & went back to work today 9/25/08 (exactly one week later)...I did feel better by Mon./Tues., but just felt like I needed to rest as much as possible w/o taking any risks espcecially because I started bleeding the 2nd day.I don't know all the results of my lap yet since my post op isn't until Oct., but the doctor did say that I had a lot of scar tissue that grew & spread, which explained a lot of my pain on my right side. However, that was just one of the symptoms I was experiencing besides the other symptoms of endo such as severe pelvic pain/cramps before & during my menstrual cycle along w/ heavy & long periods. So just a thought. Also, it depends on the type of work you do. I teach, therefore I'm on my feet all day long & running around, so going back today when I thought I was feeling fine,...wasn't exactly what I expected. I suddenly got cramps & started to sweat around my face & chest & got nauseated. So I had to take it easy. If you have a job where u sit down most of the time, then u should be able to return to work by Mon. or Tues if your surgery is on Friday & it always depends on what they find & do to u during surgery.
