Re: How long is the abdominal discomfort supposed to last after lap?

After my lap, I had a lot of abdominal pain - until I finally had a bowel movement. So I would focus on that today: what worked for me was the maximum dose of colace plus a laxative (I used sennacot, max dose again).

However, if the pain starts getting worse, you need to go to the doc or the ER immediately: I had an internal bleed that needed emergency measures, and the only sign was worsening abdominal pain. Good luck. Marianne
