I too went on a soft-food diet for 5 days before surgery. Smoothies,
mashed potatoes, bananas, etc. Mt bowel prep was EASY, if not pleasant.
Wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. But I think that avoiding all
the no-no's, like dairy and meat and processed foods is a great idea.
Helps your body not waste energy on digesting too much complex foods.
