Success!From: Ramey (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun Aug 31 18:52:22 2008
Okay, I know that the CEC has endless endorsements here, but I thought I would add to the pile. ;) I had surgery with Dr. Sinervo last week, and my experience was as positive as surgery can be, I think. He was very compassionate, and did his best to help me feel comfortable for my first surgery. I was so scared, but it helped to see such a genuine and kind smile when I went to sleep. I traveled from New Mexico to Atlanta, and I'm so glad I did. He found Stage II endo on my bowels, bladder, ovaries, cul-de-sac, and found that my uterus was bicornuate and had adenomyosis. Sooo... he excised the disease, and performed a laparoscopic supracervical hysterectomy. I am excited at the prospect of no more painful periods, and since I had aggressive surgery early on (I am 25), hopefully the disease will remain at bay. I won't lie - recovery hurts, but the rest of the process wasn't nearly as horrible as I had been led to believe. They DO bill insurance, and they pre-auth your procedure before you ever even sign any paperwork. They contract as an out-of-network provider and do their best to get the highest benefit payout for their patients. Anyway, that's a quick rundown. If anyone needs a little pep-talk or advice about going to Atlanta and the CEC, shoot me an email! I'd be glad to share my experiences. Best Wishes, Ramey
