Re: Interstitial Cystitis

I was diagnosed with IC. Moderate classic presentation with the hemorrhages that start with a P.. Can't spell them. lol.

I'm going to be taking Elmiron 100mg 2 in morning one at night. Elavil 25mg one at bedtime (worried about this with bi-polar) and then Urelle as needed. None of these has of yet helped my pain. It's only been a few days on all of them though. Don't know how much longer I can cope. I don't have extremely frequent urination. I don't have urgency that often unless I hold my bladder too long. I don't have to get up at night to go to the bathroom. My main problem is PAIN! Stupid freaking non stop can't deal with pain.

I was worried about taking Elmiron as well, my doctor said if I had any unwanted side effects we would take me off of it. We're going to do bladder instillations 2 times per week of Heparin and Lidocaine. Well, we are when I can afford it.

I hope this helps you.
