Re: How soon can i expect my period after lap surgery?

I had lap surgery on 7/31. My period had just started. 4 weeks later, here it is again. My doc said it really depends on how big a shock your ovaries and uterus had with the surgery: I had a 12cm cyst removed from one leaving only a fragment of the right ovary, and the other ovary is only a third after a cyst removal 7 years ago. Good luck. It can be done: after that 7 year old surgery, I was put on a course of Lupron for 6 months (to give my reproductive system 'a rest' - ha!). After that I managed to conceive naturally 2 kids. Good luck! Marianne
