Contraceptive as treatment for Endo and AdenomyosisFrom: Natasha (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue Aug 26 10:17:50 2008
Hi, my dr prescribed for me the contraceptive pill as treatment for endo and adenomyosis. I am supposed to go for a laparotomy, but we are postponing, as I need to start with fertility treatment straight after operation and I am not ready for that. In process of getting married etc. To try and stop the very bad pain and periods, my dr suggested I go on the contraceptive pill and skip the placebo tablets. I have now been on the pill for more then 2 months and have not had one day without bleeding. Is this normal? I am very frustrated and I started having extreme pain in my side (left at this stage) it was so bad the other night I could not sleep. I am not sure if anyone else has experienced something similar or have some comments suggestions in respect of this. Thank you for the kind advice.
