Hi Anon,

This is all my opinion on Lupron. It is the most horrible drug out there. Some women have a great result from, I unfortunately did not. A few things came from taking 6 months of it. I have IC now, which has a link to causing shrinking of the urethra, which in turn causes Bladder infections and IC can develop from frequent infections. I also gained 40 pounds from it. The weight packed on. My husband and I were only 26 when I was on it, recently married, it was the WORST 6 months of our lives. The hot flashes are bearable but not fun that is for sure. The mood swings are just uncontrollable or they were for me. My birth control pills, Seasonique, are 3 month pills that are awesome. I would suggest that. But remember that birth control pills have estrogen which is hard on endo. Really, you will need to do research and make up your own mind. If you are looking for advice...I would say DO NOT get on Lupron but again that is just my opinion. OH and the Lupron caused my gallbladder to shutdown and I had to have it removed. It infected all the tissue surrounding the gallbladder also, which caused me to have a lot of complications. Have you had excision surgery?? That really worked for me. 1 year and still no recurrences of endo. I have cysts again but the pain is nothing compared to endo. In any event, if you would like to speak to me offline, feel free to contact me on my yahoo account. I hope you find all the answers you are looking for!

Thanks Jen Adee
