Hi Lois, I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's Thyroiditis in February, 1989. I was diagnosed with infertility and endometriosis in January, 2001. I was told by both my fertility doctor, who is a reproductive endocrinologist, and my OB/GYN, who specializes in high risk pregnancies, that Hashimoto's is definately connected to the development of endometriosis and ovarian cysts. I had a chocolate cyst, or endometrial cyst (sp?) when I was 18. I was not told back then that I was at risk of developing endometriosis. Nor was I told that when I was dx'd with Hashimoto's. I didn't find any of this out until I couldn't get pregnant.

I know that this is not the answer that you were hoping for, but it is not all bad news. I take synthroid everyday and after surgery for my endometriosis, conceived and gave birth to boy/girl twins in November, 2001. Don't give up hope and do whatever you need to do to get healthy and stay that way. Hypothyroidism and endometriosis certainly aren't great to have to live with, but at least they are highly treatable. Good luck!!!
