Hi Stephanie, I too was diagnosed with frozen pelvis. I had a surgery in June of 07 and the endo had only adhered my colon to my uterus. Within one year (may 2008) I was diagnosed with stage 4 endo after a laparoscopy. My bladder, intestines, colon, fallopian tubes and ovaries were all fused together. My doctor first recommended a hysterectomy. When I refused, he discussed going in with a laparotomy but was careful to warn me that my adhesions were so severe it could be complicated. I had my laparotomy on July 15. He was able to successfully cut away the adhesions and "free up" everything except my left ovary and fallopian tube. I will still be able to try and get pregnant but he did warn of the aggressiveness of frozen pelvis and the high likelihood that the adhesions will come back quickly. I firmly believe that due to the severity, laparotomy was the way to go versus laparoscopy. I am still recovering but am hopeful. Although I do not know any doctors in Boston. I am here for you if you have any other questions. When I was first diagnosed with frozen pelvis, it seemed nobody else had heard of it.
