Re: Luteal phase too short - what to do???From: anonymous@obgyn.netSat May 31 23:40:46 2008
I asked about progesterone supplements and if I should be taking them. He said that progesterone supplements don't really help and that clomid should help balance out things. When doing an ultrasound, he told me that I'm ovulating and my body sort of acts like it's ovulating with cervical mucus and all. I have read that low progesterone levels could mean that the qualtity of ovulation may not be that great. Also, I get really painful periods every month, so that's a good sign that I'm ovulating. I'm getting so frustrated because if I start clomid, I'm not sure what good that will do if my luteal phase is too short... So should I just go see another doctor for progestrone supplements? I don't want to take clomid for no reason. Especially since I have read that you can get ovarian cysts from it. I feel like I'm not getting the whole story from this doctor and he does not seem to listen to my concerns all that much. I swear, I learn more talking to you ladies than from my doctors!
