Re: Had Surgery but Have Pain Again?

Most specialists, except for a few doctors in the U.S. do not do the
excision surgery. I would specifically ask- Do you use excision to take
it out?
A lot of doctors like to say they remove it "all" but in truth, it is
just what they could see. There is a big lack of knowledge with OBGYN
doctors about endo. Very few of them receive proper training in how to
deal with the endo.
Yes, you will have to continue to have surgery to remove the endo. I
have had 3 surgeries in 2 1/2 years. I am working on trying to find a
doctor who does the excision surgery that takes my insurance.
I don't mean at all to sound negative, but please check with your doctor
to see how it was removed. The best step in treating it is having it
the surgery done the right way. If it wasn't for the advise of others
on here, I wouldn't have known either.
Wishing you a pain free day!
