Kathy,

I'm so sorry to hear that you are not doing well! The ER is such a bad place to go when it comes to endo because all the doctors are clueless...but what else are you supposed to do, right? I would think that if it was a cyst that had burst, you probably wouldn't still be having discharge for that long. At least for me, whenever I had a cyst to burst, the pain would be really intense for about 45 minutes or so, and then it would let up. I usually did not have very much discharge or bleeding either.

With endo it is so hard to figure out if a "new" or different pain is from the endo or something else. It makes sense that you have low iron levels...you've been bleeding for 3 weeks. No, it is not normal, and someone needs to listen to you, preferably your gyn. ER docs are great if you have a broken bone or need stitches, but other than that, I think they are useless. You know your body, and YOU KNOW if there is something wrong! I'd call the gyn again, as many times as needed, and let them know that this has been going on for 3 weeks, and is disrupting your daily life. Be sure to let them know that you have been to the ER, and the ER docs told you you needed to follow-up with them. Good luck to you! I'm sorry I don't have any better answers. I do, however, have tons of experience with doctors, ER or otherwise, trying to minimize and dismiss my complaints. Don't let them do that to you!
