I am in a similar situation. Having colonoscopy in 2 weeks - excision in about a month. My ob/gyn will have a GI surgeon on hand to help if a bowel resection is needed. I also have been sent for an anal ultrasound of the colon - it is supposed to get a picture of the outside of the bowel as well. that way, the surgeons have a better idea what they are up against ahead of time. Just thought I would share this with you - it might be helpful for your case also. Good luck to you - please keep us all posted.
