Just diagnosed yesterday (due to symptoms and CT/US test results) with probable endo and not wasting any time - I have lap surgery scheduled for Friday :)! I'm completely committed to doing it, but I have been reading of a goodly number of problems following lap. I'd love to hear some success stories to carry with me into surgery - and I am sure others would too (I've found a few here, but more about complications.) My endo appears to have formed at least one 10x3 endometrioma on an ovary, and may have been having other adventures around my pelvis, so not sure of the extent of digging about the Dr. will have to do. But he still suggested I could be back to normal activity (including exercise) in 5 days or so. I'm a competitive runner (I run about 40 m a week) and will want to get back to that and light weightlifting/pilates as soon as possible too, so I would also love to hear from other athletes. This forum seems terrifically supportive - many thanks in advance!
