Re: Why Did Dr. Mosbrucker Leave Dr. Redwine's Practice? - WHAT HAPPENED??From: Endo (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue Apr 22 19:44:24 2008
When she first went to Bend she was touted as being Dr. Redwine's apprentice who was going to take over the practice when he retired. That was the way she was promoted on several Yahoo mailing lists by people -- including one nurse -- who said they knew her. Up until now there was never any talk of this being an internship with a definite endpoint, otherwise why would she blog about moving permanently from Hawaii to Oregon? It's weird that surgeon would move for training and then just stop it without having any new solid job plans. I wouldn't have confidence in any surgeon who didn't think out long term plans for job stability and it seems weird that all of a sudden she's unemployed. Why not just tell patients what happened? That nurse doesn't post such rave reviews of Dr. M. on the Yahoo board so something must have happened. Until quite recently the nurse bragged on Dr. M. and pushed people to see Dr. M. just as much as she brags about and encourages people to see Dr. R. All the posts in which she raved about Dr. M. are not available anymore either. We patients notice these things. I think we patients who are already leery of medical professionals would be far better served by the truth rather than by what seems to be some sneaky marketing. To see a partnership get highly promoted is one thing but to have it end so suddenly and without any explanation just raises red flags. Bottom line: is Dr. M. a good doctor for endo surgery? Is she affordable? Does she take insurance? I heard she was working with Blue Cross but is that still true? How do we proceed if we want to send our records to HER instead of Dr. R.? I heard she's easier to work with financially. If anyone knows then thanks.
