Stomach hurts then I get really hot all overFrom: sagle (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue Apr 22 16:10:18 2008
I am probably entering Menopause which I welcome but I was not prepared for such as abrupt scary entry. 2-1-08 I really thought I was dieing for the first time in my life. About 3pm on a Friday my right arm pit began to hurt really bad, enough I grabbed it and mentioned it to my teenager. things went down hill fast from there. I began filling nauseated, extreemly weak and very sick. My breast felt kind of odd like a fullness. I compressed each. Green and rusty red came out the right nipple from different holes and white came out a hole in my left nipple. It was Friday night. Saturday morning my husband took me to an AM PM Clinic. I was so weak I felt poisened. They did swipe the discharge and took a blood test. Their blood test came back inconclusive and they only tested for prolactin level which came out normal. They perscribed 500mg anibiotic and 10 days of a steroid. I felt the glands swelling move from my right arm pit to my left then to my groin area over a few days. I had a mamogram by Tuesday which came up clear. The only doctor I could get in with was a bran new to our area General Practitioner. She had me take $600.00 worth of blood work. I am not sure what all they were but she said I did not have cancer. She thought the discharge was from some Melatonin which I only occasionally use to take. Odd that it never did that before. And why green and red discharge? She has no answer. I quit taking melatonin. I am concerned about some unanwered things. She does not think I have lymphoma or any type of cancer. I saw her again this month in April and reported I have not had a period, about how my stomach starts to hurt then I get very hot soon following. She agrees I am entering penopause but that my stomach probably hurts because I am anxious. I don't feel anxious. I am a layed back type person and all I am concerned about is why my stomach is hurting then I get hot and why, if I compress my brest does green and red liquid come out. The last time I ever compressed my brest was 13 years ago when I was nursing and I had to when my child was sick and I had to pump milk into a bottle for him once. I am more aware of my stomach hurting at night when I wake up and feel it hurting and a little nauseated like there is something septic dripping into my stomach. But then maybe it is menopause hormones that does this. I started taking tums yestarday. Is this going to continue and will it give me ulcers? Has anyone else experienced these things? Is it normal for green and red liquid to come out if compressed? Would it be better to see a gyn or someone who knows more about glands and hormones...maybe an endoconologist?
