For me, after suffering the pain since 2001, a doctor finally told me that he suspected I had endo as well. I have to say in the beginning it scared me so much and I felt so alone. What I did was I had a laparoscopy (laser). But the laser was no good because it doesn't remove it properly. Then I had to have another one (excision) which was better but then this doctor did not find it all. I am now scheduled to see an incredible specialist in NYC on the 16th. He is one of the top specialists in this field. Dr. Kanayama. Google him and read up on him. Also, check out the posts on his site from all the women that say he changed their lives forever. My advice to you is to seek out a specialist, it will save you so much more time and energy and everything else. I swear, I wish I did this instead of running around all the gyn's up here. Make sure you do not go on Lupron!!!!! this is a big thing you want to avoid. I'm not sure about the fertility thing, but for me, I want to have kids someday but not right now. I do think to myself whether i am fertile or not and it makes me a little sad and worried. But, we can't do that, we need to stay positive. Seeking out a specialist is the most important thing. They know way more than regular Gyn's. Check out Dr. Kanayama's site. His assistants and receptionists are the best I have ever spoken with. You can call them and ask them whatever questions you may have. I hope this helped some. Good luck with everything Ariel, I wish you the best. Please keep us posted, I'd like to know what your plans are with this. You are never alone here. Thanks for sharing. -Nettie
