Hi, I'm not sure why they would call it ectopic endometriosis. I'm no doctor but the only thing I've ever heard of similar is an ectopic pregnancy. Usually that is when your egg is fertilized in you fallopian tube and can be a life threatening issue, but ectopic actually means outside of the uterus. Seeing as all endometriosis is outside of the uterus I don't know why they would call it that. I would talk to your doctor about it. -Angie
