Re: painful sex a year & a half after hysterectomyFrom: anonymous (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri Mar 21 19:54:30 2008
I had a partial hysterectomy as well for endo and adeno. I do not have pain with intercourse BUT after intercourse for 24-48 hours. The doctors now believe I have IC (which I found out is often reffered to as the evil twin of endo, many women have both). I have seen a new gyno-urologist and have had some test and have the cystoscope schedule(to look inside my bladder) She gave me an antihistime to take before sex to help with the pain afterwards(and it has helped) I am by no means saying you have IC it is just something else to think about. My regular doc never even brought up the possiblity. It was my PCP who said "I think you may have IC" and sent me to the gyno-urologist. Good luck!
