Re: cently diagnosed with Rectovaginal EndometriosisFrom: mysterri (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue Mar 11 07:26:36 2008
Hi, I was diagnosed with the same thing in 9th July 2007. I had surgery to remove the Endometriosis from my bowel on 8th October 2008. The surgery was a success and I did not need a bowel bag. My surgeon told me the exact same thing and as you have experienced I had sleepless nights thinking about it also. The only thing was that my surgeon could not remove all the endometriosis due to where it was located. My first two months after surgery were amazing. After that I started to feel "not quite right" and the surgeon put me on the pill in Feb 08. This last period has been painful but not excruiatingly so, but I did pass a large fleshy, bloody clot, or something similar. After I passed this, I was pain free once again. Aparently these blood clot like things are common with women who have had children. But as I am child free, my GP advised me whilst it was not normal for me, i was too keep an eye in case it happened again. I am unsure if it is related to my surgery. If anyone has experience what I have described during the last half of this, can you please advise me?
