Hi are you by chance going to see Dr. Kanayama in NYC. If you are you are in great hands, he is one of the only "true" endometriosis specilists and he is truly wonderful. If you are going to see him Sabrina the office manager is wonderful, she will help you through every process in getting your surgery covered. They will give you documentation to give to your insurance proving that you need to have the surgery and that its important that you go to a "true" specialist. She will give you all the info that you need to prove that his technique is different from most other drs. and that he is the only one in the area that can do it with his sucess rates. It takes a while to fight the battle, but it can be done. My insurance company denied me at first then Sabrina helped me fight the battle and we won. I have a regular plan with no out of net work benefits and they proved that there was no dr. in network that can do this type of surgery, that this type of excision is different from what the other drs do and has a much much higher sucess rate. Good luck, I'm sure you will be fine, she gets wins these battles all the time, she is a pro. >
