25 and Newly Diagnosed with Endo/Adhesions, HELP!From: Lee (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu Feb 28 21:38:50 2008
This is day 13 after my diagnostic laparoscopy confirming that I indeed have endometriosis and a very dense adhesion high up on my left side. Part of me is relieved to finally know what's wrong, another part of me is frustrated it has taken this long to get a diagnosis. I have been suffering since I was 14 yrs old. I'm sure many of you can relate to that! My question is the following.... Can you have "mild" endometriosis and very dense/thick adhesions? I was under the assumption that adhesions only occur with stage III or IV Endo? I have yet to have my follow up appointment and am relying on the information that my OB/GYN gave to my mom after the surgery but she said that she removed some endo on my ovaries and cut away some of a very dense adhesion high up on my left side but could not remove it all because it was too close to my bowel. Overall though she said I had mild endometriosis. Is that stage I or II? Any help would be much appreciated! Feeling a little confused!
