I have been in pain since my first period which was over 25 years ago!!! but back than they did not know what endo was!!!! So since 11 years old i have been a lab rat for the doctors. I can't even imagine how mant times my parents had taking me to emergency rooms, specialist and of course the psychiatrist because for so many years as a child, teenager and adult I was told that I was crazy an addict. I am married and have 2 children which is a bllessing from God because I did not have any problems getting pregant! but both pregancies I was very sick and almost lost both my children and myself.MY endometrios is a pretty bad case I have it all over my body!!!! I also had a full hysterectomy!!! with laser during the surgery, but they could not remove the disease from my instestines, bowles, kidney and abdominal walls The surgeon said there could be a chance that I wouldn't make it thru the surgery. So wwhen the doctors say to me Why can you still be in pain after a full hysterectomy ? well now I have some answers the only way to cure it is to remove all the endo out of your body in which for some case when women have a small pactch of it they can laser or cut it out!! but when your loaded with this disease in my case and being on hormone replacement my disease just keeps growing and growing causing severe pain(everyday) blockages blood in my urine and my immune system to shut down I am sick all the time!!! mono, pnemonia, teeth& gum infections rare types of tumors thyroid problems skin infection I could keep going.so the answers is "yes" pain will continue after a hysterectomy!! MY next step is to see and infectous disease doctor for the Auto Immune part of it Because being in pain everyday and being sick allthe time and having to have all these surgeries to remove all these rare tumbors I just can't take much more!!! Thankgod my husband, children and family are so understanding because my quality of life sucks!!! and in my case I can not be cured!! I am in pain managemnt and my doctor is amazing!!! and a heating pad has not left my side since 11 I should own stock in the heating pad indusrty and thank god for therma pads I buy XL ones for the back and turn it around the heat is intense or at least 8 hours
