Re: hysterectomy or not?

Let me start by saying I understand that a hysterectomy is not a cure for endo. However, there are many women who have them due to endo and other complications such as adeno, fibroids, pelvic congestion. Many women do find some relief to pain without suffering all those symptoms described by Debbie. If it is something that you are considering, I say educate yourself. That does not mean to take my advice about what worked for me or advice from others about worked for them. Research, find out all the possibibilites, good and bad and then discuss with your doc and your family. For me, a hysterectomy has helped tremendously. I do not have all those horrible symptoms. Sex is great, so much better than when I was in pain all the time. And yes, I can still have an orgasm (so many people do not beleive it to be so) However, I came to this descision after much research and deciding what would be best for ME!! A good place to start looking for info about hysterectomies is at the hystersisters.com website. Good luck and I hope you find some relief soon.
