I need a specialist, How do you get financial assistance when you are out of state?

Hi All I had an important question that I thought some of you may be able to answer. Usually we have to travel out of state to see a specialist, right? well, what if your insurance does not cover out of state what do you do then? I want to go see a specialist in NYC but I am not covered. Does anyone have experience with this. if so what did you do? I am so tired of doctors in my state telling me it is not endo anymore and at the same time wanting me to go on Lupron. It is so hard when you know it is going to cost more than you have dreamed of, but then again I am not buying a house, more like i am buying my body back and my life as well. So, really I will do anything to see the best and get the best. thanks for your help.
