Re: PLEASE HELP - possible ER situation!!

Do not be afraid - I have been living with chocolate cysts for years. Most of the time, they are not serious. However, they can make you feel really sick and uncomfortable [I had to stop working because of it!]. The cysts cause your ovary to become enlarged and sometimes there is an increase in blood flow to the area.

You should feel a little bit better that you had a sonogram done and your doctor looked at it?? If it was anything really serious - and your doctor looked at the results, you would have received a phone call by now.

That said, many doctors do not know how to recognize or even treat endometriosis properly. My advice - seek out an endo specialist. Try the yahoo groups website endodocs - for referrals. Where do you live? I don't know what you personal health issues are, or what you history with endo is, but if you definitely have an endo diagnosis, I would seek out a specialist. No doctor - specialist or not - should EVER make you feel like a complainer! If you have endo, it is a debilitating and progressive disease. The problem is, most doctors don't know how to diagnose or treat it properly. Therefore, they dont return your calls.

I hope you find some relief soon.
