Hi there! Probably the best place to start learning about endometriosis would be the endometriosis association's website, or even this website, obgyn.net. There is tons of info on the internet, just google endometriosis and start reading. Unfortunately, many doctors know very little about this disease and sometimes what they do know is very outdated or just not very helpful to us. Good luck and this is a great forum to visit for info, questions, and support. Try reading through the archives here as there is a wealth of info here!
