Cysts and EndoFrom: becboot1 (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon Feb 4 21:29:47 2008
I'm really excited to find this group! I was diagnosed with endo when I was 21. I have currently had 4 laps and was lucky enough to have a baby 4 years ago. I am now 30 and had my last lap in October. I have 2 main issues that I am dealing with and would love to get some perspective! I have multiple cysts every month that rupture. The pain is horrible and I am having a hard time coping. Do any of you deal with monthly cysts? The last one was actually seen prior to rupture and the doctor told me it was the size of a small orange. My doctor said "as long as I have ovaries I will have cysts" which doesn't seem like the answer to me. Are the cysts related to endo? My doctor doesn't really have an answer for me. Second, I never really was out of pain after my last lap. They removed my left fallopian tube because it was so damaged. My right ovary was attached to the back of my uterus from adhesions. They removed a ton of endo and adhesions. The pain has actually been worse since surgery. They have put me on oxycontine and loratab but it barely touches the pain. My husband and I would really like to have another child so I am not ready to have a hysterectomy yet...we have been trying for 6 months now with no luck. I am terrified of Lupron. Do any of you use other things? Have any of you been diagnosed with a "varicose vein" in your uterus? I've had one doctor tell me that too. Thank you all ahead of time for you help! I am so happy I found this site!
