Decision for first lap surgery

Hello, I am new to this forum. I am recently contemplating whether to get my first lap surgery. Never was diagnosed having endometriosis and this will be my first if I have them. I am 40 years old and also contemplating on my first pregnancy so that is why the doctors are recommending lap surgery to see if I have endometriosis that may affect fertility. I have been hearing and reading that once you have lap surgery and take out any lesions and clear out the endometriosis, it can return. I have a question if it is almost always a case? And if it does return, is it usually for the worse? I'm a bit concerned since I don't have any major symptoms where I cannot bear it with just one NSAID pill per month. Would the symptoms get worse once the endometriosis returns? I would greatly appreciate if anyone has any inputs. I'm so glad to have found this endometriosis specific site whom I can consult. Thank you! JK
