Hi Asha

In my case i only got diagnosed with severe endo last year while going through a string of fertility tests. Im 37 and i was told it is very unlikely that i will concieve naturally and IVF is my only option. I have one failed IVF so far and starting a frozen cycle next month.

Basically i left things too late, i wish i could turn back the clock cos im kicking myself that myself and my husband didnt try for children a few years ago as the endo probably wouldnt be as extensive then. Now between my age and the endo it aint looking good. All those years i spent working/studying/travelling mean nothing to me now as all i want is a family and nothing could ever make up for that.

I cant advise you what to do as everyone is different I can only tell you how its effected my life. All i can say is the heartbreak of not being able to concieve naturally and the ordeal (plus expense) of IVF is devestating. I pray and beg God everyday to help me get through this and that it'll all work out, all i know is i wouldnt wish any of this on anyone. I guess he has a plan and i just have to accept what is meant to be.

You do have youth on your side which is great but endo continues growing and there is no stopping it so that changes things slightly for you. Many women have children young and still continue with their studies or go back to work so thats worth thinking about.

The best of luck anyway with whatever you decide.
