Hi Lauren

I just read your post and I can tell you that it is possible to get pregnant with after a lapo. I have very severe endo and had my lapo done last september to get cysts removed my my left ovary. Unfortunately my tubes are completely jammed with the endo so its very unlikely that i can concieve naturally. I was put on a temporary menopause for 2 months straight after the surgery to starve the endo and its hormone dependent. I went straight from that into IVF and everything went fine, they retrieved 10 eggs, 6 fertilised but only 4 made it, i had 2 transferred and the other 2 are frozen. I tested pregnant at christmas but unfortunately it ended up as a chemical pregnancy (early miscarraige). They call it a chemical pregnancy as there is nothing visable on the scan and no heartbeat at such an early stage.

I have had follow up appointments with the clinic and apparently chemical pregnancies are very common in any woman and some dont even know its happened as its like a normal period,it usually happens when there is a problem or some damage within the embryos themselves so the boby rejects them. It could happen to any healthy woman and bares no reference to the endo.

The fact is at the end of the day that i did achieve pregnancy through severe endo so i know its possible.

I dont know how soon after surgery you can start trying naturally but when you do please know that it is possible. I know of several women who went on to have babies naturally with severe endo, it may take time but it happens. We have no control over nature and God has his own plan so my advice to you after all the anxiety ive been through is to relax and enjoy trying cos nobody knows how things are going to turn out and miracles do happen.

Just to let you know that acupunture great if you are trying to concieve,it aids in conception and carrying the baby through full term, its also great for relieving endo symptoms not to mention the relaxation and stress relief you can it get from it, check it out on the internet you'll be quite surprised the benefits of it.

I have started acupunture myself to help me with my next IVF so hopefully if i do concieve this time there will be less chance of miscarraige. Say a prayer for me and the best of luck with everything yourself.
