Also just want to add here that it is a stimulant and anyone who is
sensitive to stimulant drugs may experience very serious side effects,
like tachycardia (where your heartbeat speeds up to about 140 bpm).
Also it can affect your thyroid. If it does, then when you stop the
drug, it could adversely affect your thyroid and you can end up gaining
more weight.
A stimulant can speed up your thyroid, but stopping it can slow it down,
and a slow thyroid will make you gain weight.
You can also have your thyroid levels tested to see if they are normal
now, because a low thyroid can make you put on pounds.
A LOT of the weight drugs out there screw up your thyroid. That's why
people don't understand when they stop the weight drug, they will gain
back the weight plus 20+ more pounds, because the drug affected their
thyroid and their overall metabolism.
