Hello, I realize from reading the forum here that most of you have already been diagnosed and I am going through the process. I feel that the Docs I have seen have been dismissing most of what I am telling them, so I was curious if my sypmtoms are similar to anyone else's. About 3 years ago, I had a strange pain in my side (at the base of my ribs, high up from my pelvis) this resulted in an ultrasound at the ER as that was the only way to get one within the month. The ER didn't find anything and referred me to an OB. This OB was convinced I had endo, although the only symptom I had was pain from an unidentified source. So she did a lap and found some tissue that was removed and biopsied. The tissue was suggestive of, but indeterminate for endo. So fast forward to 7 months ago, and I went off birth control for the first time since I was 14 (I am now 27). About 3 months after going off BC I got a terrible pain in my ovary and three days later ended up in the ER again and the ultrasound said that there was a pocket of fluid that suggests that I had ruptured a cyst. I was then in pain for a full month. The pain has now subsided except for having the worst menstral cramps I can remember and terrible ovarian pain about when I ovulate. I don't have clotting in menstration-at least not like all the paphlets say I would if I have endo. The docs have said that I can either have another lap or go on hormones. I don't want hormones as we are trying to conceive. I don't want to go on a wild-goose-chase-lap, unless it seems to make sense. In the days between the pain, I think "why go through surgery, maybe it's gone away" but on the days I'm in pain, I don't care what I have to do to make it stop, so I am conflicted. Does anyone else have simmilar symptoms? Thanks, sorry its so long.
