I have had Endo since I was 14. My first lap was when I was 16. I was told to come back and talk to my gyn when I was ready to have kids to see if I was even able to have them. By the time I was 23 I had 2 wonderful sons with no help at all (very unexpected I might add LOL). When I was 30 I had an ablation to stop the very heavy periods and they found more endo. I am now 32 and its back. I have tried birth control pills, pain killers, and surgery to remove the endo in the past. I have had bad experiences with any hormone therapy. I went on the Depo-Provera after my first some for birth control and gained 50lbs in 4 weeks. The pill puts me into first trimester all over again. Everything from the swollen ankles, lower back pain and fatigue to vomiting. My doc (who I don't like to begin with) has recommended me trying Lupron. I am terrified of any hormone therapy. Not to mention if I am going to go into "false menopause" why not do the real thing. I mean the endo will only be back after I stop taking the shots. I begged my doc (different one, he retired) to take it all out 2 years ago. I had already had my tubes tied at 23. I don't want anymore kids, can't have them. Does anyone have any advice on how to go about the begging? What is the dance performed to get the insurance to pay for it without the Lupron?
