Anna,
Are you getting a hysterectomy too? The first two days are miserable,
but I feel so much better and in good spirits right now. Make yourself
walk the halls as much as you can the second day - it helps the gas a
lot. I stayed 2 nights and am glad I did, because the gas pain kicked
in after 18 hours and I would have panicked if I'd been at home.
And make sure they empty your pee bag often! That is the only thing that
made me mad! The nurse was neglectful and let my pee bag overflow 3
times, making my bladder spasm because it was too full, and I could not
get the pee out. It hurt bad! I'm telling Dulemba she let that happen.
Other than that happening, they took pretty good care of me. My
incisions look like small cat scratches. E-mail me and we'll keep in
touch during our recoveries. Let me know if you have any questions too.
:) I think my progesterone is keeping away any hot flashes or side
effects I would have too. Take care and don't let this worry you too
much!
